Behind Indianrailstuff

IndianRailStuff promotes railfanning in India, primarily by making available reference material like maps and atlases, etc.

Samit Roychoudhury is the person behind IndianRailStuff.

Samit trained as a designer from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad in the 1990s, and then spent a few years in the computer industry in Calcutta, post which he begun his career in design.

Trains have been his passion since he was a little boy, and through this atlas he brings to you years of research and information in the minutest of detail.

Samit’s railway atlases and maps are useful, having been painstakingly compiled. His deep understanding and love of trains also ensures all relevant details are available.

He is an independant web, graphic & map design consultant, as well as a design educator.

The Great Indian Railway Atlas is currently in its third edition, the previous editions having been released in 2005 and 2010.

Further railway related material will be available on this website from time to time.

Samit’s personal website showcases his work.
